Happy Long Weekend!
September promises to be an exciting month. Kids are heading back to school, and hopefully everyone is feeling refreshed and recharged after the longest summer I can remember. As fall comes, out focus will slowly shift from outside to inside. What better time to think about planing your next organizing projects?
For tips and ideas on back to school and living an organized lifestyle, please join me for the following television segments and live presentations:
Monday, September 3, 2012 – Tune into The Marilyn Denis Show for tips on organizing the kitchen, bathroom, foyer and your closet. You’ll also hear from fashion expert, Angie Smith, and Butler extraordinaire, Charles MacPherson. Episodes are usually posted on line the same day, so check back later if you can’t tune it. If available, I’ll post links on the Streamlife website.
If you’re in Peel Region, on September 5th, I’m filming tips on getting everyone organized for back to school. On September 19th, I’ll be back in studio talking about an Organized Lifestyle, and why it matters. I’ll be activating links to the segments for online viewers. Shows air the following day – so September 6th and 20th.
From September 20th through September 23rd, if you’re thinking about renovations or home improvements, the Fall Home Show at the Better Living Centre in Toronto is the place to be. I’m thrilled to be joining design experts, Colin and Justin; home development duo, The Property Brothers; Toronto Star columnists Glen Peloso and Vicky Sanderson on the main stage.
I’ll be presenting “Living an Organized Lifestyle” at these times. Do come say hello and bring your organizing questions!
Thursday, September 20th – 3 pm – Mommy’s Day
Friday, September 21st – 5 pm – Toronto Star Day
Saturday, September 22nd – 11 am
Sunday, September 23rd – 11 am
You’ll want to pay special attention to the Fall Home Show’s Upcycle Challenge, in support of Habitat for Humanity. I’ve chosen a piece that has seen better days, and am transforming it into what I hope will be a fabulous and functional piece for a home office, in one of my favourite colours. I was never much good with glue in kindergarten, so even I am curious as to how this piece will turnout! Designers and DIY bloggers such as Lisa Canning, Mag Ruffman, Shoana Jensen and Wendy Russell are bringing their reverie for recycling to this event. The bar is set high, folks! All pieces will be auctioned off to raise funds.
For those who you who have been following the launch of Pliio™ in Canada, I have some good news! I expect to have a very limited supply available for sale after my presentations at the Fall Home Show. Come down to claim yours. If you’re not yet familiar with Pliio Clothing Filers and what they can do for your drawers, shelves and suitcases, please visit the Pliio website for a short video from our launch on HSN in the US. I am so excited at the prospect of having some for sale at home!
